The third instalment of CNC In The (Model Engineers’) Workshop was published in the August 2013 issue of Model Engineers’ Workshop, arriving at UK subscribers on 3rd July 2013. This began with the computer and installation of software; introduced the G0 and G1 commands, and the F feed rate command.

This instalment then began to consider backlash adjustment. There is another paragraph to come, on this, in the next instalment (the split being caused by the restrictions of fitting the text to the page).
