I came across a strange bug in Mach3 v 3.046.066 the other day. I noticed it because I couldn’t get the Driver Test to run.

Many of the files in the Mach3 directory seem to have cloned themselves. I thought at first it was a one-off peculiar to my machine or my setup, but no; I found the same thing on another computer which also runs that version of Mach3.

The easiest way to deal with this is to

copy our machine setup file (in my case the one named WabecoMill and created when I did the initial setup for that machine) and your licence file (Mach1Lic) to a USB stick or another area of the hard drive, then reinstall Mach3.

Then put the two saved files back into the folder.

That sorted it; and Driver Test ran just fine.

Strange bug, though.
